PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Bradenton-based Environmental Biotech International purchased the 19,710-square-foot former Engrave-A-Crete building near the intersection of 19th Street Court East and 47th Terrace East for $1.15 million. The purchase price equated to an average of $58 per square foot of building space.
“We felt this building gave us more growth potential,” says Justin Price, vice president of business development for Environmental Biotech International. “We’ll have training faculties here for clients. This will also allow us do our manufacturing on site.”
The new location will also help the company introduce a new product, called Be-Pothole Free, for filling potholes quickly without the emissions and cost of asphalt, Price says.
The company also plans to work with Manatee County to create a grease-treatment facility on the property. Construction is scheduled to start in the next two months.
“We have a technology using live bacteria to actually physically consume the grease,” Price says. “It reduces the waste’s mass by about 90%. The resulting 10% solid mass can be sent off to be mixed for biofuels production.”

The purchase entity EBBE LLC mortgaged the property to Insignia Bank for a total of $1.03 million
